As the Chair of B Capital Group, a global fund based in Singapore and Manhattan Beach, CA, and Co-founder of First Round Capital, an early-stage venture fund, he has demonstrated an exceptional ability to identify and nurture innovative startups. His leadership at Arca Group Inc. and his directorship at Idealab further underscore his commitment to fostering technological advancements.
Dr. Morgan's illustrious career spans academia and industry. He served as a Professor of Decision Sciences at The Wharton School and a Professor of Computer and Information Sciences at The Moore School of the University of Pennsylvania. His research on user interface technology and optimization of computer networks led to the introduction of ARPAnet to Philadelphia in 1974.
As an active consultant and speaker, Dr. Morgan has shared his insights with Fortune 100 companies and numerous government agencies. His venture capital investments have resulted in many ventures going from seed stage to initial public offerings.
